Both Facebook and X have become so obviously promoters of rage baiting. People are voting with their feet too. X usage has slumped by over 20% since Musk took it over.

He’s generally loathed by South Africans too. You’d think they’d want to take pride in him but he’s such a c**t that they don’t want anything to do with him.
The 20% slump unfortunately is probably due to people leaving that can see it for what it is and don’t want to be part of it. This possibility increases the concentration levels of rage baiting posts to a higher level as a consequence.
Original twitter was poorly moderated but it was at least moderated but now there is no one in charge at all and the extremist wing-nuts and genuine loonies have taken over and are over amplified as regular people have left and now it is just a refuge for idiots.
