Free PROC Android and iPhone App

Good stuff lads. Any chance of a Blackberry Version?

Thanks for the feedback Blackpool Terrier. Our resources are limited and we don't want to charge for the app so we picked the top two mobile operating systems, (1) iOS/apple and (2) android.

See this article:

Globally the Blackberry OS is still popular but not so much in the EU, North America and down under. Some interesting stats here:

http://www.onlinemarketing-trends.com/2011/05/mobile-os-penetration-global-vs-north.html

The rate of increase of android phones, particularly Samsung and LG, means Android is likely to stay well ahead of Blackberry and close the gap on Apple iOS (particularly if Apple continue to make it far more difficult to develop apps than Android).

The Blackberry Playbook does offer some degree of compatibility for Android but most phones in Ireland are not running that OS. We will look into it though especially if there's demand for it. We've only had two requests for it so far though.

If any Cork loving Blackberry developers want to volunteer to knock up a version of the PROC app they are welcome to get in touch.

Still have this corruption in the main menu, see attached file. I have already restarted the device, the different sub-categories are fine.

It's most likely just caching Merowech. Use the refresh button and see if its still there. If that doesn't work check out other pages that you haven't visited before. Go to events and click on some gigs.

have to say looks fantastic on iPhone 4, ver. 5.0.1 (9A404)

one small thing tho, under Whens Me Bus, for Route 207 there are 2 possible routes?

Donnybrook-St. Patrick St-Ballyvolane and Well Road-CITy(sic) Centre-Montenotte.

when you open each route they both have the same details and the details dont seem very up to time ala the other routes :(

Thanks for the feedback.

We changed the route numbers over the weekend in line with the new route numbers issued by Bus Eireann (the number 7 is now the 207 etc). The database field for the number only allowed 3 digits so this caused a temporary problem for buses like the 207A which (until we got around to fixing it) also was forced to be "207" - hence the confusion.

What you're seeing in the image above is the 207A timetable (note "Well Road"). This route has very few buses so that's why it looks odd whereas the 207 (the old number 7) has lots of buses from 7am until well after 11pm.

This has been fixed now.
