Fitzgibbon Cup

I understand that you dont want to be shitting on a cork man but come on. Finn was unlucky his one was split second with players changing direction but English was stopped, he was not looking and connolly lined him up and smashed him into the head.
you are not talking about Junior B here, these lads are as fit and agile as players can be and he chose to make that hit.

It was really unfair on his team mates. That was a deeply stupid decision
Fair play to you sir you are always on the scene when a refereeing decision is to be discussed, rather interesting.

I just got an opportunity to see the clip. I don't think Connolly intended to catch him that badly, but he ran in carelessly and caught him in the head. There is an argument for red alright. 2nd red was wrong though in my opinion, particularly in the context of the game (even though referee shouldn't contextualise their decisions). It is a pity as it finished the game as a contest. I felt MTU Cork had their measure.
Connolly's was a red all day long tbh. Apart from being reckless and dangerous, it was really stupid. If you go in on a guy bending to pick a ball you'll probably knock him over, and even if you didn't foul him it looks bad. Connolly should be experienced enough to play the ref and wait til English had straightened up.

Never have I been so fucking fucking pissed off with refereeing decisions.
Walsh was exceptionally poor. No doubt Connolly was idiotic but Finns red was ridiculous. At one point early in the 2nd half an MTU player made absolute minimal contact over by the sideline and the UL fella went all Greg Louganis. Walsh blew for the free, truly embarrassing stuff. It was like he was reffing an U10 game. I hope he is cringing watching it back because if he is the future of inter-county refereeing (as he is being touted) the game is in big trouble.

Joyce Healy and Mullins were non existent for mtu last night looked as if they gave up after the 2nd sending off.

More diving coming into the game each year, Clare excellent corner back, hogan, is an expert.

I thought Joyce stood out big time last night. Obviously too many holes to plug by the time the 2nd half came. I thought Mullins fought hard all night. Healy showed glimpses of his capabilities but was peripheral in the game.
