Makes zero sense. Are you suggesting multiple operators should be running on the same routes because that's what it sounds like. There is no practicality or viability in having Bus Eireann, Go Ahead and say Transdev all running buses on the same route from Carrigaline to Cork for example.

The 208 route gets put out to tender. The 205 stays with Bus Eireann.
The 220, the 214, and perhaps 50% of the routes get put out to tender so that no one company owns 100% of the routes.
Then if somebody goes on strike at least the whole city doesn’t come to a standstill.
Also, the bus station in Parnell Place should be open to all operators, not just Bus Eireann.
