Cork To USA gone bang.

This is what you get with the Dems in power.

Do you think that a better promoted Cork airport and supported by the Govt. and the DAA could take pressure off of Dublin airport and traffic from the South getting flights that could be served from CORK / SNN ?

The 2nd runway will cost billions and will be a protracted planning nightmare and when built will only increase competition with the other airports

Once people can accept that Cork is nothing more than a regional airport the better.
One of the reasons that Dublin is doing so well is that the likes of Aer Lingus are bringing in passengers from UK, they are going through pre clearance there and then travelling onwards to US.

That'll be the spin from the usual local sources. There won't be much out of the DAA, who couldn't really give a shit

"Mr Toland, what's your stance on the cancellation of the flights to the US from Cork?"

"From where?!"

"Cork?"

"I'm...oh wait, is that in Holland?"

"Cork. Cork city. Cork airport. County Cork?"

"No. No, I'm sorry. You're not making any sense."

US preclearance in Dublin is over rated and a pain. Travel to New York regularly and fly cork London and then London New York. Get there on same workn day and am working by 4.00pm. Cork directly to Boston and then getting flight to New York would have been great
