Cork Hurlers - Part 2

We need to get the balance right next week against Galway when bringing fellas in after a lay off.

Minimum expectation is to win the game. Hope we can make the league final though.

4 out of the last 8 AI winners also won the league, the same year.

It seems that the teams that win the league lately have targeted it specifically as art if their plan for the season ? Not everyone is going full on for it?

Clare were definitely going at it full tilt last year. Limerick on the other hand, were happy enough to throw in the towel against KK in the semi finals.

I think it's only Tipp that have gone all out to win it this year.

With KK beating limerick, if Cork beat Galway, that's a Tipp Cork League final, either down the Pairc or Thurles
Or if Galway win, they'll be playing Tipp. Basically a home semi-final for Cork. It'll be v interesting to see what team they go with. Personally I'd like to see some of the fringe players from last week (Saunderson, O'Connell, Twomey, B. Roche) start again.

We've really had a nice run up to it.
Three tough games in three weeks.
Lost away but took the learnings.
Won 2 and embarrassed our first championship opponents.
Two week break, utilise it with a camp in the Algarve.
One more test in the league to sharpen up the absent players and set the championship team.
A win and we have a free crack off Tipp before a three week break.

I think we're shaping up for a fine long summer!

Two week break before game in Ennis.

Bit of a novel league final with tipp v cork or galway. All 3 would bite your hand off for a national title. Such a pity only 2 weeks before start of the championship.
