Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Sound...just wondering what full back man you drop from the list.
Do also think Joyce was lucky.
All stars and nominations mean v little
in my view.Just a bit of banter.
Ya Joyce was very lucky. Played very well in the semi final win and had a very good patch towards the end of the final but generally I felt he wasn't at the same level as previous 2 years.

I think nominating Paddy Burke from Antrim was a bit of tokenism and also you could argue that O Leary had a better championship then both Limericks Dan Morrisey and Barry Nash.

As you said its only a bit of banter. The full backline is sewn up anyway it'll be
Hogan, E Downey, Leen
And rightfully so.

David Blanchfield won't be far off tbh.

All Stars are a bit of fun to be fair for punters. But to the players, it is a lovely individual award to get. Tony Griffin on Laochra Gael how special it was for him to win an All Star. It marked all the years of hard work he put in on and off the pitch.

I think the All Star team will be fairly predictive. Maybe the goalkeeper is a slightly tight one to call with Quaid tipped to come out on top.

I agree that Niall O' Leary is fairly hard done by not getting nominated. I had him in my All Star team heading into the final, until it looks like Conor Leen will take his place. A few token nominations there. The annual Lee Chin Nomination, a Dublin nomination and Antrim nominations.

Also, something not right about Kyle Hayes getting nominated for Hurler of the Year. It is Shane O' Donnell's award to lose and it also sends out the wrong message from the GAA/GPA. I suppose it is judged solely on his performances but then again he had 2 quiet days v Cork.

Adam Hogan will win the Young Hurler of the Year award.
