It might not make the TV highlights but Connolly nearly scored a lovely goal in second half.. he won a high ball cleanly and was surrounded by defence close to goal. He did an overhead flick with his back to goal but a defender managed to bat it off the line. Would have been a nice one.

Don't underestimate how bad Wexford were, they were easy pickings. That fact aside Cork were really good.
Connolly is Mr Goal, he's a handful now but I think his ceiling is even higher.
Sean O'Donoghue was excellent today, jeez he's a bull of a man now.
Call out for Shane Barrett again, works like a demon and he's hell to deal with when he starts running at defences.
Great to see Joyce back, he's some man for breaking a tackle.
Bit pissed off that we conceded that late goal but apart from that no complaints, there were no passengers on that field today.

Today’s conditions didn’t suit Horgan and I think he still did enough to stay ahead of Kingston O Connor and any other corner forward options.
