Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Poor stuff, Limerick backs doing as they please, 3 or 4 of them hunting down any Cork forward in possession. We have no inside threat because all of them are out around the half forward line chasing their own tails. All panicy stuff when we are on the ball. Lehane giving an exhibition of turning over the ball trying to do solo stuff and messing it up.

Could we not plant a man on the square and at least have an outlet there which will tie up some defenders.

Decent enough half until last 5 mins bit of a gap all of a sudden, shooting the main problem. But at least players getting in good positions. Limerick just find it easier to score Robbie Flynn and hoggie look sharpest, Horgan's frees maybe not his best. Dalton not getting anything dropped on him Joyce very good. Sean O'Donoghue outstanding before injury, hopefully only minor knock Happy enough with eoin Downey for first day out
Ahem.. we at the same match?
It was double scores for most of the way through the half…. Limerick are simply just a way better group of players.. and Cork aren’t going about it the right way physically standing off their men..

That was sobering. I missed the first ten minutes, but from what I saw Cork were at best only clinging on. Puck-outs destroyed, which unfortunately was predictable given the forwards selected. Limerick winning a world of ball in their hb line and from there their short passing and support running are destroying Cork.

Brian O'Sullivan working hard but not nearly enough to stem the tide. Dalton has gotten on v little ball, a worrying fact for those of us who thought he could bring something different to the forward line. He also has been brought out the field where he is far less effective.

Downey holding his own so far, but Limerick are not not playing a lot if ball into their FF line so it's hard to judge him properly.

Lehane!! Omg what a nightmare half..
Did Dalton take the wrong slip road exit below at the tunnel or what?
Hoggie.. scored one nice one over the shoulder from play and won a few frees by drifting out for the handy diagonal but more or less non existent as a target man inside

Honestly not too pushed about result here. Blooding lots of lads. Trying new things still. Trying players in various positions. Ryan doesn't care about result in this one. Clearly still experimental

No doubting some of the effort but Limerick just look like they are calmer and more composed on the inside , they know their gameplan and are ahead of us on physicality and possibly even skill…we have a bit to go to match these guys who we accept are the bar at the moment
