All stars not even on their bench
Not even close to second strength
Yet killing us

No logic to this.
Sure there's arguably 7 or 8 Cork starters missing.

Poor stuff, Limerick backs doing as they please, 3 or 4 of them hunting down any Cork forward in possession. We have no inside threat because all of them are out around the half forward line chasing teir own tails. All panicy stuff when we are on the ball. Lehane giving an exhibition of turning over the ball trying to do solo stuff and messing it up.

Could we not plant a man on the square and at least have an outlet there which will tie up some defenders.

Did Dalton take the wrong slip road exit below at the tunnel or what?
Hoggie.. scored one nice one over the shoulder from play and won a few frees by drifting out for the handy diagonal but more or less non existent as a target man inside

Honestly not too pushed about result here. Blooding lots of lads. Trying new things still. Trying players in various positions. Ryan doesn't care about result in this one. Clearly still experimental

There is plenty logic to this game..
What I find illogical are the comments on this thread all week in the lead up about the reality of where Cork hurling is at.. Bizarre.

No doubting some of the effort but Limerick just look like they are calmer and more composed on the inside , they know their gameplan and are ahead of us on physicality and possibly even skill…we have a bit to go to match these guys who we accept are the bar at the moment

Hopefully Cork will play midfielders this half.. can’t win any game without it.. Absolutely cleaned from puck outs
Limerick are sharp.. better than they were last year early in the league

First ten minutes I thought we looked very nervous, or just slightly off our game, but for the rest of the half we were our usual passive selves trying to dance our way around limerick. Go fucking through them. Hats off to Tommy O Connell, the only guy to contest the ball in the air like it should be, we are too small, too light and too many guys not willing to cling someone when it’s on. Change needed, not so much today but in our attitude. Fight the fuckers till you can’t fight no more, that’s all I ask

Hoggy looking sharp. Get him off the frees and see what he’s gonna do for us this year from play only. Dalton is a target man, use him accordingly.
