Cork Hurlers - Part 2

If we can sort 1 and 3 and get the balance and attitude right elsewhere we’re a match for anyone.
Cork people should be optimistic and not knock our own.

Cork people should be optimistic and not knock our own.
Cork people should be realistic and not put unreasonable expectations on a hurling team that hasn’t won an AI in almost 20years and have come nowhere near it either bar once 10 years ago. Simply, we are not a match for anyone.
That’s where we are I’m afraid in what is only a 6-7 team competition.
Give Pat Ryan time.. hopefully he can develop the hurlers for the hurling needed .

Interesting remarks from Horgan on the atmosphere around the camp last year ?

I don't think it is all that interesting, it was highlighted many times last here that there was an issue with one particular member of the management who was clearly out of his depth when dealing with inter-county players. Patrick being dropped against Antrim was nothing but a vindictiveness considering the record on the line for him, not that he personally cared but they are still nice to have.

Save me a job of finding that info.. what was the story last year?
Nope, anyone that joined here nearly 10 years ago and didn't post till this year is clearly a coward hiding behind an alt so you won't be getting any info from me. Welcome to ignore.

Wow… we got a live one! You ain’t so slick now are you Earl of Pearl. I’d no idea I’d joined previously until I found & tried to sign up to this forum over Xmas. I also didn’t realize that there is an obligation to post anyway.
As clearly by your comments on me, it’s ok to judge I think you certainly should be applauded for your rather voluminous efforts here.
Perhaps the forum would benefit greatly if some contributors would focus on quality rather than quantity, in-depth critical thinking rather than verbal diarrhea and positive meaningful engagement rather than passive aggressive communication.

Plenty calls for Hoggy to be dropped in recent years all across Cork.. His overall work rate not up to it for modern day hurling seemed to be the view. I don’t know. in an earlier post on here I think another contributor hasn’t picked him to start Saturday either..
