As I said to a friend of mine the other day when I saw this announced - that's the office Christmas party organised by indie head Linda in HR sorted.

Credentials: Stills wear Converse - once a year, has heard of Arctic Monkeys and previously owned albums by Blur, Elastica and Menswear.

Last year this spot was filled by Cast, next year it will be Gene (who, despite recent news stories are still going ahead with their tour).

Nick Mulvey announced for Live at Saint Lukes, Sunday September 14th, i can only assume this is part of SFASH, as that festival ends that night, and they typically use that venue.

Matt Berninger is also likely to be at SFASH, on the basis his solo tour (2nd solo album out), ends a few days before festival starts

That's fairly planted in desperation mode from the Opera House.

I mean, fair enough, it's not exactly "papering" the gig but you'd feel a bit aggrieved if you were one of the saps that had bought a full-whack ticket.

Kamasi Washington is playing in the Opera House tonight - rescheduled from his cancelled Jazz Fest gig.

Not sure how this is selling - seem to be a fair few tickets left and, apparently tons of people returned their initial tickets. I never got that option from the Opera House or the Jazz Fest - or if I did, I never spotted it.
