Cork Footballers

Did Concannon ever get a run for cork
Damian o Neill got a great reputation because he never played or put in the effort He did play for Cork and was an out of control midfielder who kicked the ball anywhere but near the goal and I remember him one time in Killarney being taken off at halftime and spitting out his dummy.
He was a good club player but was never disciplined enough to be an inter county player and hid behind excuse that he was a so called successful footballer

O Neill was by far the best all round footballer in Cork that time but was busy running a successful building company west in Bantry and he could not commit to LTs training 43 times a week. Any normal training schedule and O Neill would have been our No.1 midfielder and natural leader.
West Cork should secede from Cork, become the 33rd county, and enter its own team . Training in Bantry would be much more convenient.

Problem with Sherlock , in an actual proper team he would be effective because n actual team would accommodate his lack of pace for his kicking skills. In this team where we have Half a dozen players who CANNOT kick the ball and run up their own holes. He will be ineffective
Heard this all last year and just about every time he played he was effective. If he gets the ball with any space he can score. In a team that has so little of that he must play
