Cork Footballers

Great to see Cork defenders rolling back the years and dishing out some pain to the Mayo forwards in the first half. Long overdue, no one walking through kicking soft scores. Fell off a bit in the second half which is understandable. Hopefully we'll see the same commitment to it next week. Some great turnovers through hard, crisp tackling. Massive improvement to the pulling and dragging we've seen the last few years.

great win, great comeback as going 6 down well into 2nd half would normally be enough to finish the match, need to follow that up now with a win next week against whoever it is especially being at home, that will will be a prelim qf not a qf, get past that and we meet one of the group winners(not Kerry) the following week, a good home win and an honourable defeat in a qf would be a basis for future years, looking at the Louth and Clare results we are still miles off the top teams although the last two games would suggest progress. btw this was a bit reckless although it does look accidental to me

Just watched the match as I was at Mass while it was on. Can we now put the rest all the garbage about Sherlock not being a critical part of this team? What a comeback!

Really hope Deane doesn’t end up in concussion protocol he will be out for next week if so… was very direct running and set up 2 scores in first half with passes over the top

Pleasantly surprised with R.Maguire today

When is the last time a cork bench has been emptied, and every single one contributed positively to winning a game. A huge sign of improvement

What a f***ing win for us. Amazing achievement considering most of the county probably rooting for us to be beaten with the urging of the likes of Donal Og and the hurling strongholds. Watch out lads we’re coming back #rebelfootballabu
