Ya, needs to be clamped down. Players getting fouled out on the sideline, and freetaker taking a runup that brings him in front of the goal before kicking.

Overall a positive first half. Meath comprehensively outplayed us in this fixture only 10 months ago. We've clearly progressed since then.

Yeah, was about to say this, only managed 11 scores against them last year in the whole game (albeit away), defence leaves a small bit to be desired but look the better team out there and definitely heading in the right direction, think we’ll have enough to win this.

Basic defending is killing us, defending goal side, working back to stand the man up, holding the middle. These are things that should be ingrained in defenders, shouldn't need coaching. Serious bollicking needed to some guys at HT. Meath run at us we concede. Forwards need to have a cut, no fault in kicking a few wides, don't kick short or get swarmed. Also need guys running off Maguire, we don't need him running inside the 45 in possession with nowhere to go, lay off the ball and get out of the way. Those kunts are there to be taken.

I think Meath have a lot of work done already and should be able to go the 70, as should we. Unless we tighten up at the back I fear more goals and they steal a win. Opportunity here for Cleary and Walsh to show how they can sort defensive problems at half-time.
