Afaik the GAA is the last association in Ireland that has separated male and female governing bodies.
Golf was the second last one to go a few years ago when both unions joined to form Golf Ireland. It is an absolute shit show now. Representation at the top should be at least dependent on playing numbers, golf Ireland went the opposite way.
Also I can’t see the GAA , and rightly so accepting LGFA policy on transgenders playing.

the camogie board is hopeless. The LGFA didn’t achieve what they did by accident

The LGFA aren’t forcing anyone to do anything. It’s the menopausal Maggies in the Camogie board that are the problem. They can’t get over the fact that the footballers are successful.

Basically from what I've heard a lot of officers who don't want to lose their power. Afraid that by joining with anyone they'll lose their positions.

I’m sorry to tell you that you just described the LGFA, they have held up the process of integration for well over a decade, they seem to have a “what we have we hold” mentality
