2024 Senior A Football Championship

Newmarket to beat bishopstown: Newmarket put it up to knock for long stretches and I fancy them to win by 4

Dohenys to beat fermoy: Fermoy impressed me last weekend but I rlly fancy dohenys as a championship contender. Dohenys by 3

Ballingeary to beat CNM: imo this is the match to go to next weekend. A dormant rivalry that’s poised to erupt again. CNM got off to a great start but sometimes that makes u underestimate the opposition. Beal atha will be all guns blazing as they’ll need a win here to progress. Ballingeary by 1

Kanturk to beat skibb: kanturk r a machine and very rarely slip up in the early stages. I thought skibb were a bit disappointing last weekend. Kanturk by 4

Carrigaline to beat kiskeam: this should be a comfortable win for carrigaline. They were always gonna be strong at this grade and with BOD they look nailed on to be there at the business end. Carrigaline by 10

Knocknagree to beat Clyda: another easy one. Clyda are rlly struggling and the news of Corbetts injury won’t help them at all. Knock by 7

Fairly straight forward

Bishopstown have made strides for sure but fancy Newmarket to dig it out by 2
Dohenys should have two much for Fermoy and think they’ll run out winners in the end by 5+
CNM vs Beal Atha will be tight and cagey for most of the game but given CNM are on the upward curve fancy them to nip it in the end by the minimum. Wont be surprised with Draw
Kanturk will take care of business here and beat skib comfortably by 6+
Carrigaline will have too much in the locker here and will send Kiskeam relegation bound. Carrigaline by 8
Knocknagree should win handy and set up the Clyda vs Kiskeam relegation final. Knock by 8

A few one sided games this weekend.

Newmarket v Bishopstown - Newmarket by 5, performed well against a top Knocknagree side and will have too much for BTown.

Fermoy v Dohenys - Dohenys by 4, both teams need a win to stay alive and I feel Dohenys will have too much quality.

Knocknagree v Clyda - Knocknagree by 10, will be very one sided and Clyda will only be concentrating on not getting relegated after this game.

Carrigaline V Kiskeam - Carrigaline by 7, Kiskeam seem to be struggling and Carrigaline, who are my pick to win it out will be much too strong.

Kanturk v O Donovan Rossa - Game of the round in my opinion, Kanturk to win by 3. ODR struggled last day out and believe they will fall short here.

BAG v CNM - exciting local derby, Cill na Martra look good and think they will win by 5.
