2022 Intermediate A football

If Cathail O'Mahony stays fit you'd have to fancy Mitchelstown. Had he been fit for last 2 county finals you'd wonder where Town would be
Class player alright hopefully his injuries are behind him now. There's no doubt they should have beaten Rockchapel 2 years ago Getting players sent off didn't help their cause either. Can't see anyone stopping them this year but there maybe a banana skin or two along the way

Kilshannig playing at their very best is the best bet to catch Mitchelstown and Aghabullogue did catch them in the group stage last year, but I can’t see it, think this is the year they do it. Should be able to stay up in Premier Intermediate too, better than the likes of Na Piarsaigh and St Vincent’s at the moment (though one of those is probably on the way down) and would be in and around the level of a lot of the other sides.

Wouldn't read too much into that Aghabullogue defeat, Mitchelstown just after the delayed county final loss and were missing a heap of players. Player sent off at half time too.

Completely agree, I don’t think anyone will catch them unless something goes drastically wrong, just more or less pointing out where they’ve been caught in recent seasons.

Think they’re a step up this year.

Yes They are
Winners grp 1 v RU grp4
Winners grp 2 v RU grp3
Winners grp 3 v RU grp2
Winners grp 4 v RU grp1

1. Top Group winner
2. Second Group winner
3. Third Group winner
4. Fourth Group winner
5. Top Group runner-up
6. Second Group runner-up
7. Third Group runner up
8. Fourth Group runner-up
Quarter-finals: (a) 1v8, (b) 2v7, (c) 3v6, (d) 4v5 Semi-finals: (a) v (d), (b) v (c)
A repeat pairing is possible in all quarter finals here. If a repeat pairing occurs, the second team in the
fixture will move down to the next fixture on the list with group winners playing group runners up in
all cases. If a repeat pairing occurs in the last quarter-final (d) (i.e. 4v5), then team 3 plays team 5 and
team 4 plays team 6. Repeat pairings in semi-finals will be avoided, with pairings being adjusted where
necessary
