Anyone ever read Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell?
Would be interesting to apply it to Utd.
Would a point come, where all the non legacy fans fock off en mass, leaving all their sponsorship value in the mud. We like to banter them about noodles and tractors but that shit adds up.
If that revenue fell significantly, it could create a vicious circle of no money for investment => shit performance => shit sponsorship => no money for investment.
We all know about the no WNTNCL for 2 successive years clause for example.
So what would it take to get to a tipping point? Is it even possible?
Of course a super league would reduce them but for the sake of argument let's say no Super League.
