Anyone remember the Wazzie on Quicksilver? It was a live broadcast from the old Savy in Cork (most were recorded programmes). A contestant was asked by Bunny Carr, "Now what do you call a male bee?". Quick as lighting, the contestant replied, "A Wazzie".

That was my grandfather, he passed away in November legend of a man. Can’t find any clips of the episode and I’d love to see. If anyone has any clips or images of the episode I’d love to see.

Tried there already for him, only found one from Drumshambo.

To email RTE archives directly I mean. Have seen the Drumshambo ones, they were recorded by someone off the telly, probably on a Betamax.

I had a teacher in school who used to say
“i’d call you an Arab but it would be an insult to the Arabs.”
That was his catchphrase.
This was the mid 90’s , thankfully there were no arabic students to hear it.
