The Flavours return to Cyprus Avenue to mark their first release in nearly two years.
With a spectrum of colourful influences from indie rock to classic soul, to reggae, jazz and funk, The Flavours exploded onto the Cork live music scene on their inception in 2018. From a variety of musical backgrounds, the band developed their own unique sound heavy with howling guitar solos and funky basslines in Julian’s front room, culminating in their two studio EPs to date: 'Send It' in 2019 and '(The) Love Life' in 2020.
A covid enforced break and ultimately the decision to scrap a lot of recorded studio material was a turning point for the band. A sold-out Winthrop Avenue in late 2021 marked the The Flavours' return to their best, followed by a headline slot at Cyprus Avenue the following month. Further headline slots
at the Everyman Palace Theatre and at the Heineken Battle of the Bands in Listowel were followed by a festival debut at Wild Roots Sligo in July. Race To The Heart is the first single off the Flavours' brand new EP, which will be released in late 2022.
The Flavours are: Ella Compton - Vocals | Julian Power - Bass & Keys | Jordan Devlin - Guitar | Jordan Roche - Drums
