Immigration Thread

You are happy for politics here including online polls to be influenced for nefarious reasons by right-wing crackpots from Slough, Ohio and Vladivostock?

Tommy Robinson fans amplifying issues here?

Fair enough.

Oh noes, wont someone think of the Twitter interactions.

Absolute nonsense.

The electorate are not happy with the government's frankly pathetic efforts to deal with bogus asylum seekers, the lack of border controls & close to zero enforcement on deportation orders.

All the polling results of the last 12 months support this.

They can continue to pretend otherwise, all the way to losing their seats.

All totally separate from the reality of malign foreign bad actors seeking political interference in our democracy.

Having your democracy (The electorate) being manipulated is just not good in an open and healthy democracy.

I never mentioned them.

Having you politics manipulated online by any other country trying to sow division (We have enough of our own) for their own political ends is kinda bad.

See what Russia is trying to do in Georgia right now.

Thats honestly one of the weakest arguments Ive ever heard.

People can judge for themselves the consequences of a government unwilling to grasp thorny issues.

Trying to explain away public dissatisfaction with government policy as somehow the product of 'foreign actors' is idiotic.

The electorate here always judges for itself and expresses itself at the poll at election time so I have no idea what that even means?

If you are happy for foreign troll farms and paid bots to radically amplify politics here (As has been proven) over issues then the best of luck to you in avoiding that fact.

It all worked out so well in the U.K. and U.S.A. back in 2016.
