Thank-you so much.

I arrive in mid-may. I am so looking forward to this.

I'll be planning my next vist before I return from this adventure.

I've have done much in search of my roots.

I'm into DNA. I have tested possitive to a genetic marker called
R-L21. Half of Irish males tested so far are possitive to this marker, indicating a possible common ancestor from the Bronze Age.

This marker is found along the northern Alps also, indicating a possible sw/german/swiss/Northern Italian origin.

This field is still unfolding as they search for new dna markers to test for.

Amonst my genetic matches I have genetic relatives who are Murphy, and Phalen also. It's an interesting hobby.

I hope some day to match genetically with an O'Connor in Ireland.

There are lots of DNA Surname Projects on the go.

There is a nice trad music session in The Roaring Donkey pub in Cobh on a Wednesday night if you are in town.

This website shows the list of cruise liners due to visit Cobh this year, these ships always add a buzz to the town if you can schedule a visit around them.
