Yes, Farran Wood. I was going to mention deer and zipping through the trees (which is a brill half day out, more of an obstacle course). The picture is taken on the path below the playground through the wire fence.
That €5 is scandalous. It's the only woods within striking distance of the city my kids haven't been to. I refuse to pay it on principle ( and I'm a miserable git ).
I might go there 3 or 4 times a year and Gougán Barra once (also 5 euro). I've never been there in the summer, I'd say it's probably jointed. I looked at getting a Coillte pass but I think it's 40 euro and only covers those two in County Cork.
