What TV Series Are You Watching Now?

Watched three and a bit episodes of Adolescence - some good acting but rather depressing overall so didn't bother finishing it.

A female friend has recommended The Rookie - it's about a cop in LA but has multiple series. Is it worth a watch?

Any other cop/spy series out there worth a look?

i love the rookie. came to it late so was able to binge the first few seasons.

Just after finishing the 3rd episode and I reckon I’ll have to be really fkn bored to go back to it.

Watched the last episode, utter shite especially the 3rd episode, I was hoping for a twist or something, nah nothing pure garbage.
Thought I read somewhere that it was a “must see” but I think I must’ve dreamt it.

watching 2 new shows this week. dope thief first 2 episodes out , enjoyed the first eps and will give it a go as it looks good, second show is a cop show called long bright river , full season out , its about a Philadelphia police officer who searches for her sister, an addict who has gone missing , im 2 in and its moving along slowly but has a good story line .

The show is very onesided and I get that but it came across like it was trying to make excuses for what he did.

I get that it was meant to explore the kid’s mindset etc etc but I think what he did and how he thought was a lot darker than the show made it seem.
I didn’t feel much sympathy for him at all… maybe I would have in episode one, had it not been spoiled.

I can’t knock the acting or how it was directed, both were really great but yeah, I had trouble with the storyline.

Can’t agree but each to their own.

Only watched the third and fourth episodes, and though some of the acting was brilliant, it's a meh from me.

Bad genetics can land anywhere down the line in a family. In my time stabbings weren't uncommon and we had no social media.

Go figure.

Just finished it.
Episodes 1 & 2 are ok but it's a disappointment overall.

Watching the 3rd series of White Lotus. Very good so far.

And that's all I'm gonna say about that!

Up to speed on S3 of white Lotus.

It's good alright but with 2 episodes to go hasn't really launched for me,

I thought S1 and Particularly S2 were brilliant, well acted, shocking,.clever and thought provoking. This one is good certainly but a cut below for me.

I'm enjoying it but it's a high bar after S2



The frenimy Gurlies were well written i think. Some really awkward scenes. And the Ratcliff mother was a great character but the rest of it is kind of meandering.

The staff love story with the dancer and the security fella is uninteresting and seems put in so they could cast the K-pop wan and broaden the appeal.

I presume the fella who Rick is going to shoot is his actual father. The girlfriend is good craic at least. As was the Sam Rockwell scene.

I find it a stretch the father has hit the skids so badly and nobody has noticed but maybe thats the point.

The big incest scene just didn't land its shocking like but felt meh on delivery,

To it's credit I don't know where the shooting is coming from. Hopefully it's Gary/Greg but if it is they need to work on his sociopath tendencies if it's some random event I'm going home and I'm taking my ball.
