Is it time to abolish them?

Do we really think that a judge needs to hear from the faily of a victim that their lives have been ruined by a killing? What about victims with no close family to give a VIS - should their killers get lesser sentences?

Barry White is bound to get some hassle for his comments today, but i can see where he is comming from.

I think that they should not be allowed. The law should really remain dispassionate in the matters and sentencing should be consistent throughout.
