Outstanding performance from Jimmy and his team of helpers tonight - another classic Ballintotis 4-miler, with Ryan Creech bettering his own course record an’ all. Organisation, marshalling, commentary and grub all top class.

BpT junior was fierce impressed- you just don’t get those type of races in mainland Europe. He drilled home a 23:23 for a top 50 finish out of the 1200 participants.

Got to my car park attendant position 5.30,
Had hoped to be finished by 7 but cars were still coming in 7.15, I abandoned my job,
Headed to the hall, Met lots of familiar faces,
Headed to the 34-36 min pen,
Off we went and eased up the hill,priority was not to trip over anybody, Went through Mile 1 8.53, More space opened up, Mile 2 8.35,
Mile 3. 8.27, Turned out onto main Rd to great support, legs were tiring, Turned for home and after 200m saw the line,
Wiped the drool from my mouth for the camera, 4th Mile 8.40,
Happy with it, grabbed tea and sandwiches,
Great night
