Training Run Times

Shit pace is neither here nor there Nelly, it has taken me a long time to realise this and whilst I still check the watch at the end of every run it has become a cursory thing as opposed to the main event. Doing the sub-t training last year reset my mind completely in this regard, and I ended up with times in the races that I was happy with. Some of the lads here would lap me in any decent length race, so be it.. neither here nor there as everyone is running against their own expectations. Even if you are not hitting your own dont beat yourself up about it, just take the edge off and enjoy being out for a run and the fact that you can do it at all - theres lots of fellas your age couldn't run around the corner!
Ah yeah. I'm actually enjoying a lot more these days.

Some who ran the BHAA 5K wednesday night on monahan rd were annoyed that it only measured 4.75 km
I saw that. Thre's a good buddy of mine and timeout's who ran a big PB at the age of 60. LOL, the poor fecker has to discount it. There are so many 5k races down there that it's not hard to get the distance right.
Apparently there was fierce cutting of the corner going on down by the Pairc too - lads going across the grass. That's just down to poor stewarding.

Somebody mentioned runners colliding with metal bollards at PUIC?
