This has been handled terribly.The “comprehensive season review” is a load of bollocks imo.
More likely they realised that there were no realistic candidates available that were any better than the current manager so the easiest thing was stick with Ten Hag for now.
Think Tuchel would have gotten it but he blew them out.
Ten Hag’s position is a strange one now. The ownership obviously has it’s doubts about him. Can’t see him throwing his weight around demanding transfers as he’s very very lucky to have held onto his job.
He’ll need a kind fixture list for first 10 games or he’ll be under savage pressure.
They realised that the timing with Gareth wouldn’t work so stuck with Erik.
Weird place for Erik to be knowing that the owners didn’t want him.
