I don't know why everyone has their knickers in a twist about a 36/37 year old. He's obviously not in the long term plans of the manager. Hes on a two year contract that at most will be allowed run out or maybe they will part ways during the summer for a fee. In the meantime he has an entire team to remodel, a champions League to qualify for and a champions League to play for. I think he'd much rather have Ronaldo in his squad this year then not even if he isn't the kind of player he's looking for long term.
