The Official Liverpool Thread - Part 2

Looked like it was contact from Cook which led to Gakpo tripping himself up.

But there wasn't enough of a deliberate motion from Cook for it to be a pen imho

Maybe the ref thought the angle of the run was cynical, as it can engineer contact.
No way was that ever a penalty tbh.

patchy performance and rode their luck, Kluievert's chance is huge. Trent out for a few weeks I guess, maybe the Goodison match too soon for him. The most encouraging thing is two clean cheets in two tricky away matches v Brentford & Bournemouth.

Statement win there. I know it’s Bournemouth but on their current form beating them away is a brilliant result. ?

Bournemouth are legitimately one of the best sides in the league. Arsenal & City lost there.

Big result for Liverpool to get 3 pts there, especially with Arsenal having City tomorrow.

If they drop pts tomorrow and Liverpool beat Everton mid-week it'll be a double digit points gap. Now is the time to try to extend that gap and break Arsenal's spirit, before the volume of games ramps up in March.

Villa away match is fixed for 1230 on Sat March 15th but will be brought forward to Weds Feb 19th if Liverpool reach the LC final. This is the Weds before the City away match, City will be away to Madrid that night.

LC match Thurs will be interesting, this competition is I presume not a priority this season but with FA cup on Sunday a very strong team may be fielded and the top players staying at home instead of going to Plymouth. Next PL match v Everton will be given extra spice by their good form. Robbo played well yesterday but this still feels like his last season as first choice. Didnt see much of the match yesterday how did Kerkez do? I would prefer Liverpool to sign Huysen who looks like he could play across the backline and will surely be snapped up by a big club soon.

Kerkez did alright. Loads of pace & tenacity but not the most technically gifyrd. Gives me feint echoes of Riise.

Huijsen was poor in the reverse fixture, but better yesterday. Doing very well to be holding his own in the PL at CB at such a young age. Big potential as he'll fill out physically & increase his nous a bit. He tried to outmuscle Mo at one stage & got shown up.

Is this a ready made YouTube reel for embedding in posts or something? Sounds great ?
