Yeah, with the way such good teams ended up scattered throughout the league, the benefit of being seeded has been diluted except Liverpool will have home advantage in each of the 2nd legs.Good explainer Don. I did think it was going to completely work off seeding and there would be no need for draws but it’s an interesting method.
Overall though I don’t think there’s much of an advantage of finishing higher up then league other than skipping a round.
On side note, while last night’s game was chaotic and not in a good sense, I was impressed with Chiesa. He is getting fitter and sharper. Obviously an injury is probably around the corner as he’s made of Weetabix but I think he could be really good as the central attacker. He has a serious knack for hitting the target when shooting.
And most crucially, the late equaliser for Atalanta that knocked Barcelona down into 2nd, means Liverpool get the home dressing room for the final ?
