Not sure how we are leading. United were the better team for most of the half and we’ve rode our luck at times. The right flank is very open, United overloading it and getting a lot of joy.

The players look a bit jaded if I’m honest but the goal has knocked some life into us and probably sucked a bit of the life from United. There’ll be more goals in it yet. Both sides are having a go. It’s a proper cup tie in that sense.

Not playing very well and lucky utd have a non-existent midfield. Mainoo is fantastic but they can’t expect him to carry a midfield on its own. Utd will surely have to chase it now so there’s going to be good counter-attacking opportunities second half you’d imagine.

Liverpool did not react to United overloading the right flank for the first twenty minutes but it is Uniteds midfield that looked cooked now.

That was an absolutely brutal second half. The players were passing around and being passive going forward, acting like we were up 5-1. The game was there to be killed but the fucking around in the final third was shocking. Klopp will be seething.

Lucky to make it to extra time at the end. The best form of defence is to attack.

They were toying with Utd for 40 odd minutes, but you have to strike the killer blow to put a side like that away. Always a risk otherwise.
