The Official Celtic Thread

Just to reiterate, I think our buying him from Norwich for 8.5M+ is too much, and I fervently hope it's not going to have adverse affect on club wage-structure and harmony.
I don't think Norwich can quite believe their luck. Would have been better off going for a season long loan, with a buy on clause at the end of it.

Very sorry to see MOR head away. A great player for the club. I wish him all the best. Today Celtic won away 3-0 to St Mirren. Strange officiating to not award a penalty after Gogic (who was already booked) tripped Daizen. Another strange decision to book Greg Taylor for getting kicked.... the same punishment for the deliverer of the kick... Idah still a few weeks behind. Forrest held onto the ball too Longford my liking. Kuhn and Kyogo sharp off the bench. Reo was MOTM and it was well deserved. He came off late on for Turley who made his first appearance for the champs. He was very tidy in those few minutes. 0-1 Calmac https://streamin.one/v/1c26a9cb Alt link https://streamable.com/sv3yie 0-2 Hatate https://streamin.one/v/a0eebe30 Alt link https://streamable.com/ipsmqs 0-3 AJ https://streamable.com/vfhlf0 Alt linkhttps://streamin.one/v/37124b12

Gus away on loan and MJ gone for £2.5m. Best of luck to them both. Lagerbielke short on pace. MJ no shortage of ability. Just a bit off it in a few key areas. When he came back BR told us he had noted that how we did transfers had changed. He's now telling us it needs to change.... The mood music is still pretty positive....but every time Celtc leave it far too late to integrate players into a group. Fans will go mental next summer if Celtic pull the same stunt as usual and meekly lose a CL qualifier because they aren't prepared.

In other news, they have found a way of getting around the "no away fans" at derby games set up... they have appointed John Beaton to carry out their bidding this weekend.

Comprehensive win.

Scales was superb

My MOTM
Bernado was wonderful until he got hooked.

Celtic completely dominated the game. Completely took Beaton out of the equation.

A very suspect offside decision ruled out a Kyogo goal early on.

Their mentally weak captain once again showed mental weakness by letting Meada in for his goal.

Butland with a reputation for being poor down low to his left showed why he earned that reputation by letting Kyogo fire a ball home down to his left.

A big penalty shout before the third came from Callum McGregor.

Jamesie made his 500th appearance and Engels and McCowan their first.

Beaton booking AJ and Taylor for not much was about all he could do help his team. He also consistently pulled the play back to let his team get organised... thankfully they are incapable of that. Sevco relinquish their stranglehold on the "Close to Celtic Cup".... absolutely miles off it.

Kasper did everything asked of him.

Celtic move top on goal difference.

Watched it at my son in law.
All over them after ten min.
Great goals.

A good 2-0 win. Proficient rather than scintillating.

Hearts had a penalty wrongly awarded early on. VAR corrected the referee error.

Celtic needed VAR to correct another refereeing error to award Celtic a penalty.

Celtic got a second late on through Luke McCowan.

VAR ruled out a third for Celtic after yet another error for the officials. Palma didn't get himself back onside. He really should have done. A good finish from Idah after another couple if phases of play.

1-0 Engels https://streamin.one/v/32b94091 2-0 McCowan https://streamin.one/v/e41b8641

This week the SFA launched a new YouTube show highlighting how the refs perform.

They explain and comment on refereeing decisions. I can't be 2 faced. I am happy there is now a degree of transparency. Willie Collum admitted a foul on Kyogo should have seen Celtic awarded with a penalty.

I'm a cynic.... so VAR working properly in the week that show starts...coincidence?
