The Official Arsenal Thread - Part 2

M8, he's gone a full four seasons without winning anything.

Honestly how is that acceptable at any club with standards.

21 years without a league title and heaping praise on a manager who is never going to take ye anywhere. It's pitiful.

🙃
I’d imagine that most fans would agree that the premier league is the barometer of how well a team is doing? Obviously Champions League too but no big team (especially Man U) would count the cups. Wigan won the FA cup and were relegated the next day.

So Arteta has taken Arsenal from 62 points to 69 points to 85 points to 89 points.

In the same period Erik has taken United from 3rd place and 75 points to 8th place and 60 points with a negative goal difference.
But look if ye are happy with that then fair enough but that’s shambolic for the self proclaimed biggest club in England.

^

Yeah, he nearly won the league there two seasons ago but fucked away a massive lead when they looked home and hosed. What an accomplishment.

Arteta has won nothing in four seasons.

Considering ye were calling for Wengers head as 'top 4 isn't a trophy' it's quite something to see you now pulling all kind of mental contortions to say the opposite with a straight face.

Going on about points totals is the exact kind of bollocks talk the Cork Scousers were pulling with their best ever losers haul.

He will won nothing again this season and any serious club would sack him.
Yet United would kill for a manager like Arteta.

It’s the league and CL that the owners and fans care about and Arsenal are progressing in both whereas United are deteriorating.

Arsenal are far closer to winning one of the big prizes and that’s what drives ye nuts. No one gives a fuck about the cups.

No Arsenal fan on here boasts about the FA Cup Arteta won yet all we hear about is the 2 “cups” Bren Hag won.
That’s because it’s all you have and he’s failed massively in the only 2 comps that people care about.

The guy is an absolute bum. 4 more years. :lol!:

You seem like a genuine football fan, always have.

Are you hand on heart saying you think Arteta is a bad manager when all the evidence points to you being wrong? Like seriously.
Bad? No, he obviously isn't bad (I never said this, and will claim corruption if ye throw it back at me, by Gawd and Holy Mary I swear it)

But is he getting the results that he should be 5 years into the job, with the resources he's had?

Probably not. I mean, how much longer is he going to get without winning a big one?

Ye might mock the league cup, but I'd bet Brenteta would love to have won one or two by now.

Now lads, ye all know this is a pisstake. But there are some things I'm not wumming about.

Slippy being overrated.
VAnGuire not being the God the SSBs think he is

And Arsenal being a terrible watch* (most weeks.) Players like Martinelli and Saka can catch fire now and again no matter the system, but by God yer dull to watch. The game at the Etihad being a case in point. There are Slots with more ambition than Arsenal showed in that game.

*So are United most of the time before anyone says anything.

A crowd of cloggers that makes Joseball look like prime 1970's Brazil.

A good portion of that "5 years" (4 full seasons) was spent cleaning out the cluster fuck that he and Edu inherited.

2 seasons ago we came out of nowhere to challenge for the title but ran out of steam.

Last year it came down to the wire.

All the while competing against a cheating club with limitless resources.

Yeah, no, he's getting a bit more leeway from me.

We should sack him and get Erik Tin Cups.

He’ll win us the league. :lol!:
