Are Sinn Fein Tories or lefties with a magic money tree? Or is Eamon just out there taking a battering because he knows he won't be back? He says it would benefit the well off disproportionately. But isn't it the same with food, booze and any other commodity? A lot of EU countries have gone with this price cap plan. Have government revealed an alternative plan for this?

I mean the 200 euro that went to everyone last time, was that not benefitting the well off who probably didn't need it?

No, they have to buy oil and gas etc on the international energy market like everybody else and any excess profits will be subject to a windfall tax.
