I don't like the State taking ownership of a person's body without their consent and deciding to extract from it what they wish to take. Amongst other factors, you will have situations where, say, a teenager dies in a car crash and their distressed parents arrive at the hospital and find that child's eyes, heart, liver and other vital organs have been taken out of their body. Where the deceased has left no explicit guidance, it is for their next of kin, not the State, to decide on these matters.This is about saving other people's lives, if people have an issue with that, then fair enough
I see it as a good thing compared with what was the case before whereby one had to carry an organ donation card or let relatives know of their intentions
