The next Government

Who will form the next government

  • Total voters
    56
  • Poll closed .
SF can switch policies at the drop of a balaclava.
Didn't Leo compare FF in power to Delaney and the FAI?
Didn't Mehole say all he heard on the doorsteps was people wanted change and he wouldn't coalesce with FG?
How'd the abolition of the USC go?
Never mind that wonderful events centre.

T.D.'s dressing like they are off to a music festival in a bog also annoys me.

You have to respect the Dail.

How hard is it to do and the toxic environment that politicians have to put up with is awful and a huge negative.

People (Shinners) think that the chamber should be like a filthy illegal UFC fighting ring and people just tearing lumps out of each other.

It is just a debating chamber discussing issues and passing laws on our behalf.

Yes the politics is very clear, they want to complete the program for government that they signed up to. I would expect some one that supports Sinn Fein to grasp such a simple concept.
That's what you took from my post(s).
Alright then.
As for me having voted for them.....tis a wonder when you are open and honest about your politics and views - how people who are not so open about their's use it as a point over again. You're more than intelligent enough to understand the posts I made. Being anti-SF doesn't or shouldn't limit your capability in that regard. But drive on.

Harris is a lot of things but he is not a lowlife.
He is now Taoiseach.

If we are to behave like a civilised and modern democracy, given all that was sacrificed to achieve that - manners, respect and grace are minimums for all TDs Seanadóirí and the chamber itself. Otherwise we are behaving like a tin pot Republic which we most certainly are not.
He's not a lowlife?
Tell that to the parents of kids with scoliosis needing treatment.
He's a lying scumbag.
He did such a bad job as health minister an election was called...and now he's Taoiseach.
That's precisely the behavior of a tin pot Republic.
As is having 3 different Taoisigh in the term of a government.
It's farcical stuff.

I already highlighted less than a page ago his incompetence and unsuitability for Taoiseach. It still doesn't make him a lowlife.

The rules allow the office to be transferred to him. That it was transferred to HIM is a different question.

As much as I am not a fan of Harris, as much as he shouldn't be any near cabinet, a lowlife to me speaks to his personal behaviour, attitudes and beliefs. Nothing about Harris gives me the impression that he is a lowlife. Just incompetent and incapable.

"Run for election at the drop of a hat party"
Ah yes, nothing screams a country is doing well like a tented village popping up in the capital city and being moved to the mountains so the tourists on Patrick's weekend didn't see them.
Country is absolutely broken.
The referendum results shows how utterly out of touch they are.

So lying to the parents of kids needing scoliosis treatment isn't lowlife behaviour?
Never mind how he treated Vera Twomey as she begged for help...he lied to the media.
He's an absolute gutter rat.
Well known Coveney and Paschal despise the guy as he was leaking things to the press.
That's showing respect for the office is it?

When have I not been open about who I voted for, in fact about three or four years ago I replied in detail to you why I do, so don't be throwing that bullshit at me at all. As long as you have been posting here, you first response to a crisis or drama in the dail/westminister/stormont is call an election.
Thankfully in the dail at least, we have adults that don't pander to childish whims.
Jez imagine a SF coalition.... :ROFLMAO:

Coveney and Paschal bowed out. They were the choice. But the politics of the current Dáil have left us with Harris. His performance as health minister brought down the last government. It's a sad state of affairs that FG decided he was the way to go....all things considered.....putting an Tánaiste and his party in a position to have to election as Taoiseach the man they didn't merit as Health Minister.

Coveney and Pascal decided not to run so they were not the "choice" Harris was only in health temporarily while the Minister was on maternity leave?
