For irrelevance, you mean.
Both yourself and Sound_y were against his opinion from the start because he came from the PSNI, funny that, eh.
I was against his appointment because, as I think there might be posts on my other ID, he is still subject to the Official Secrets Act in Britain and undoubtedly has information on the collusion and murder of people by loyalist paramilitaries which, in his current office, he should but can't use in an operational capacity for that very reason. Blatant conflict of interest.

As for his father's murder and I'm open to correction but I seem to remember as Chief Superintendent, he was well respected on the nationalist side as being fair and even handed w.r.t concerns and complaints etc.

Conflict of interest, lol, again only moron shinners would argue that just like they would argue it was a political appointment.
Yer seething hatred of the police of the police north and south is pitiful.

Surprised at you.
Check my posts.
You don't normally make things up.

I have nothing but massive respect for AGS and the PSNI who given the current dispensation are a world away from what repeated inquiries have found was a deeply biased policing entity in the RUC / B Specials openly colluding with loyalist paramilitaries.

I'm not Soundy.

No worries, keep telling yourself that if it keeps you happy. I’m not the one voting for a organisation that has a deep rooted hatred for the Garda and PSNI.

In order to spare E Ryan the hassle of having to fly back from climate conference to vote in tomorrows charade
and fly back out again, The soc dems have offered a pairing, Grown up politics,

I thought pairing was only allowed in the case of illness.
But as you said, grown up politics and fair play to Whitmore.

Their election promise to freeze rents for three years will 100% worsen the situation in the rental market. What landlord already subject to increasing interest rates is going to stick about when they cant even make the existing negligible rises in RPZs? (that dont match inflation).

Such a move will see a further exodus from the rental market, constricting supply and making it even more difficult for people to find a place to live. Thats not idle speculation by the way , it is a cast iron certainty.

Its one thing to promise populist measures its another thing entirely when they will clearly have damaging consequences.

Even in rent control zones the average rent has gone up something like 17% Dan. The current system is broken. Surely even you can see that.
