Probably but governments are never rewarded for calling an early election. Backfired spectacularly in 1989 for Haughey and in 1977 for Cosgrave.
Yea but this isn't then. Housing, waiting lists, trollies, infrastructure are long standing issues for a government that through constructive opposition, confidence and supply and now coalition have been around for over 10 years. I fully expect them to be returned in some guise or other but if there is a torpedo in the water at the time you MUST have an election it will impact their chances.

If you look at when the referendum or referenda are being pencilled in, couple it with the budget and the boundary changes going active, I think LV will pull the trigger. MM has no skin in the game as I still doubt he is running next time out and Ryan will be thrown to the wolves in that scenario.

I could be completely wrong, but I would hedge at Q4 23 or Q1 24 GE, it also precludes the need for extensive canvassing, putting the campaigning online alot and that is where LV will excel.

A lot of government TD's probably "regretfully declined" as you're usually on a hiding to nothing on shows like this.

Bloody hell - he'd best not ask 96fm Opinion line for their figures - he'll hit the roof

Mick Barry - approx 150 appearances
Tommy Gould - 125 appearances
Other SF - 30-35
Govt parties - about 10

Odd, you'd think the government would be delighted to go on, seeing as that event centre they built has brought so much tourism and revenue to the City.
Not to forget Enda-as promised in 2011-ending the scandal of people on trollies in hospital.
And,of course, lovely Leo abolishing USC and not leaking confidential documents.

All the money these fools have wasted, laughingstock of the world. Just let the EU run Ireland as they do behind the scenes anyway.
We ARE the EU. Far better to have Brussels involved. We’ve been run by London, and then Dublin.
Cork needs the EU involved to put manners on the gobshites in Dublin.
