It's not like they won't vote with the government when the time comes.Neasa Hourigan and Patrick Costello have been suspended from the Green Party for six months after voting with a Sinn Féin motion to locate the new National Maternity Hospital on state-owned land.
The budget in oct will be voted on withoutClassic divide and conquer strategy by SF successfully deployed here, they couldn't care less about the NMH, they just wanted TDs to break ranks with the government on any issue that presented the opportunity. Mission accomplished, thanks to the two Green dopes who fell into their trap.
Nope they didnt expect it to fail. I think it was a case of keeping the government honest (a bit of an oxymoron). They were saying it was undemocratic and the government were doing this on a regular basis so the opportunity arose to try and halt their gallop.Im trying to work out what the rural inds were trying to achieve in demanding a vote, they voted against the motion as they want the hospital built, surely they didnt expect the motion to fail?
Of course not.Have sf identified state land? How long would a cpo take? how much would it cost?
