Scotland's Nicolas Sturgeon has asked the British court to allow them to go for another referendum. The SNP did very well in the last elections so they have a democratic mandate according to Sturgeon, this also increases the likelihood of a border poll in Northern Ireland.

Why would the Tories want to hang on to Scotland considering how bad they do there and would be almost guaranteed total government of England and the other 2 small places without the Scots.
Maybe its the word UNITED they dont want to lose.

It'll be very interesting to see if that referendum goes ahead.

More and more Scots are looking for independence but the SNP have a lot of issues and aren't universally liked by those who want Scottish Independence.

If it does go ahead then Brexit will be HUGE imho and I think will change the outcome from the last referendum.

With a majority of voting Scots wanting out it'll be very interesting to see what the English do. And of course it would hasten Irish reunification.

Some jockanese muppet was waffling about some kind of "celtic union," with Ireland the other day on some TV show. Another thick scottish idiot was talking about Scotland "rejoining" the EU as if it was merely a matter of filling out a form.

Fuck them: Ireland should veto any attempt by an independent Scotland to join the EU until such time as the issues around the north of Ireland are resolved permanently.
