The Gaelic Football Thread

Why would they go to all the trouble of objecting, getting a replay and then drop it??? Was it to do with Crokes recent appeal. Seems bizarre?

I imagine because they see road this is going down now (counter objections, DRA, etc) and feel it simply isn't worth the drama.

They were very pissed that they had to lodge an objection at all in the first place when the CCCC should have been able to make a call on it regardless.

Seems it was just a matter of principle and they wanted to make gaa call a decision on it but they never intended playing any game.

I think they’ve done exactly the right thing. A fundamental rule of the game was broken and it was ruled that a replay was the punishment. This outcome safeguards the game for the future against any future such wrongdoings.

Glen know this isn’t the way to win an All Ireland though so pulled the plug with their point proven.
