The Gaelic Football Thread

Would they have been much interest in Cork playing "championship" games v the likes of Roscommon,Clare,Down, Offaly,Galway, Meath,Derry next yr. Hardly a great step above playing Tipp and Limerick. At least against Kerry you get to see the std required to win the thing. All of the above are miles off winning anything.

Best gaa president in the last 40 years and a man with a bit of vision and ideas…….badly needed especially after the last number of years of total lack of leadership from the likes of cooney, horan, O’Neill, Duffy and Ryan…….the organisation is just standing still over the last while

I agree with the above regarding Sean Kelly (2003/2006) - he dragged some aspects of the GAA into the 21st century. He also opened up Croke Park for the club finals - it gave those competitions a big boost.

Honourable mention though, to Peter Quinn (91/94) - he drove the modernisation of the Croke Park stadium. It wouldn't have happened, only for him.

The others were just administrators - no vision, no leadership. Useless.

Jasus Ned where have you been these past five or six years.?
Most if not all of the teams you name have beaten Cork and unless Ricken
can pull some rabbit out of his hat, they will do so again.
Unlikely to improve the mood in any camp getting hammered by the top teams.
Gotta hasten slowly imho.
