Tablet Talk!

Yeah man, the iPad is standing back out to me today. I have a langer load of high res photographs saved for the tablet I chose,
and I can only imagine how good they will look on the iPad 3.

You know what, I could always buy an iPad and an Android smart phone or mp3 player later on down the line.
Definitely won't be buying an iphone. Would only consider an iPod touch, but an android device would be cheaper.

I could always get the allwinner a10 tablet for outside the home also, or letting nephews and nieces play with it.

I think now i really need to list the apps i would use on each platform.

How are you getting on with your Playbook?

Id recommend an iPad if you are going for a tablet. Of the three you mentioned I've only used that and the Galaxy Tab and the iPad is far superior.

happy out to be honest. it does what it says it does. had some niggly issues with Android Apps, and in the end the Android loader got corrupted (pain in the ass), which meant that i had to reinstall the OS. Was a pretty harmless exercise, apart from the time it took to reload all the good apps i had :-(

App wise, the playbook is still well under stocked, which is a shame to be honest, but thats the way it goes.....

as a functional tablet for browsing, watching online streams, video chat and emails (actually the email, calendar and contact client are outstanding), the playbook is very solid indeed....at the price they are at now, they are excellent value.

but again, they are not an iPad - though they are half the price....

I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 - I was fairly underwhelmed with it at first, to be honest but once I stuck an ICS ROM on it it has never left my side.

I finally got DLNA working on it over the weekend so I can stream movies to it from my server at home..

I think there is no "superior" tablet really, they're all superior in the their own ways
Exactly.
I love Android because I'm a fiddler. Apple doesn't let you do that so I'm not really interested.
I would argue though, that Android gives you the best of both worlds. Just don't judge their tablets on Honeycomb.

Yeah definitely.
The first "app" that will be going on the ipad would be cydia anyway!

Just thinking of all the bloody music apps out on the ipad, its making my mouth water!

I think at the moment, the only way i'll buy an android tablet is if I wait a few months for the next generation android tablets to come out.

Surely someone will bring out a high res screen which rivals the ipad by then.

No, not it's not.

In my experience it was. I push Android everywhere I can, use an Android phone and avoid Apple products because I don't like how limited you are with programmes, operating system and software, but the iPad just works better for browsing the web and that in my opinion.

If I was getting a tablet (Im not planning to any time soon), I'd go for an iPad based on that and that alone.
