Stephen Kenny Reign

Eng-ur-land tapping up Tom Cannon.

He seems primed to shoot to the top. Serious fire power, ideally he'd join Ferguson up top on the front line and bolster our artillery options.

Again you'd question the wisdom of persisting with guys who aren't Irish when they're going to fock off as soon as England flash their knickers.

Are we gonna refuse any lad that's not born in the Republic so? Seems very harsh. He wanted to play underage for us, don't think we did much chasing after him.

Grealish , Rice there's f*ck all point investing time and resources in guys who have sod all interest in playing for us

Kibane, Breen, Paddy Kenny.... never would have done anything other than play for Ireland. Along with many thousands of others who couldn't kick a ball.

We have to take the risk and suffer the fact that there might be guys who will play us.

Troy Parrott 4 goals in 31 games for Preston in the Championship last season. Is allegedly still hanging out with his gangster (Kinahan) mates. Looks like he's an Anthony Stokes clone.

Various media outlets and the manager talking up the chances -

"Kenny urged an element of caution ahead of the clash with Gus Poyet's side, as he pointed to Greece’s fine home record and their recent run of form, however, he feels that the improvements his team have shown over the past 12 months should reap rewards to secure what he is calling a potential historic away win"

That's a bit strong, no?

Outside of tournaments, AFAIR in the last 50 years we have secured two decent away wins in competitive games - 0-1 away to Scotland under Jack Charlton in qualifying for Euro '88 and 0-1 away to Austria under MON. We don't win away!

Edit - I forgot the win away to Wales in the 1st round playoff for WC 2018. LOL, that's two James McLean goals giving us 66% of our serious away wins in 50 years
