Stephen Kenny Reign

Yerrah it doesn't matter who gets the job as long as we don't make a total show of ourselves. That's the target working with the ashes of the FAI shitshow.

And that means not only no player development happened, but also fuck all coaching development.

All your left with now is choosing between a punch in the nose or a funt in the sack.

Irish soccer is a body ravaged by a long dose of cancer that only the most viscous chemo and radiotherapy can deal with, leaving the body with years of painful recovery.
Wasn't the appointment of Kenny supposed to be the start of this?

Soz, I meant the universities get involved with bursaries and schlorships, they are well on their paths with respective organisation at this stage, development squads, national panels, high performance units.

It has moved on a lot, although America still seems an option for some of our golfers and athletes.

The way football is treated by the FAI is nothing short of a disgrace. They had it too easy for years with lads going to academies in the UK to develop but that avenue is virtually closed now unless you are exceptional because academies in the UK now bringing in young players from all over the world.
it's harder now with brexit as you can't really go until you're 18. on the flip side that should mean the standard of the LOI improves as players are here longer.

in a stunning move the f.a.i. have announced that with Kennys reign of error now finally over the tactical genius that is Grand Admiral Thrawn will be leading the national team going forward.

His assistant coach will be Patches O'Houlihan

long live the empire

One of the real positives of the Kenny era has been the bump in crowds as the new generation of Irish football are embracing live action for both club and country.

It will be close to a full house at Lansdowne Road tonight, and while the Kenny era has not delivered on its quest for tournament football, there is an appreciation for the ambition and tireless grafting of a manager who earned the support of the players and the fans.
