Springsteen to play Cork 2013

Saw him in Gillette stadium recently Foxboro on hols. Scored 2 tickets for $25 each. All good you say, my hole $17 for a beer and $50 for a T-shirt. Prices the ordinary man certainly couldn't afford. I wonder does Brucie know what's going on behind the scenes?

Bruce is never cheap, standing will be €140 ish, but i’d definitely pass on those Premium seats, there might be a good view, but a shite atmosphere, full of event junkies, who talk throughout the gig. Always an excellent gig, have seen him a good few times, last time was 2013 in Kilkenny, i’l definitely try and get tickets for this, i’d expect its the last time we’l see him play in Cork, and its a one off gig, so will sell out quickly.

Bear in mind he puts on a 3 hour show where most bands do 90 mins tops plus one or two shitty support acts

Saw Peter Hook & The Light do 2.5 hours in Cyprus Avenue a few months back.

It was an absolutely excellent gig, Hooky is not that far off Bruce Springsteen's age and put on a hell of a show.

For €45.

I've seen The Boss 10 or more times since 1999 Reunion Tour. To be honest I've found it diminishing returns since the Magic tour in 2008.

There was some bad ju-ju at that last Páirc Uí Chaoimh gig too. It wasn't a lot of fun.

Hes playing about 2hrs 20-30 on the latest tour.

Personally I think theres a lot of filler there. Maybe that will appeal to the die hards but theres not much there for the casual fan.

For 160 bucks I want the greatest hits. If he wants to play new or obscure stuff Im not paying that kind of moola.

I had great fun at the cork concert.
Leaving was a nightmare though.
