Sinn Fein are not a Normal Political Party

Brian Boru?

Cuchulainn?

The Fir Bolg?

Cromwell?

Hitler?

They did bad things long long ago so that absolves us of all the bad things that we did, so there....................

Michell O'Neill was lying through her hoop last week so she could justify unnecessary murder and mayhem for decades and going back to the dark ages or 1916 does not change that fact.

Hitler??????????? Godwins Law strikes again.

Will Micheal Martin and Leo Varadkar be "lying through their hoop" next week so they could justify unnecessary murder and mayhem for decades including going back to 1916?

By the way, the IRA was extant from about 1919 to 2005. The Dark Ages, Brian Boru, Cuchulainn etc etc weren't mentioned by anyone apart from you in your efforts to deflect from the pain of your mental gymnastics which would have us believe:
"Some 20th Century killing of armed and unarmed people by the IRA was very good, but some 20th Century killing of armed and unarmed people by the IRA was very bad."

P.I.R.A. had a choice and you well know it and Michelle O'Neill was lying through her hoop and was rightly pulled on it and S.F. historical revisionism does not stand up to scrutiny.

Did those that decided to rise in rebellion in 1916 not have a choice? Wasn't Home Rule on the books and due to come into force as soon as the war was over? There was no sectarian police force back then firebombing them out of their homes. There wasn't widespread discrimination in terms of housing allocation or jobs depending on your religion in dublin. Are you saying that Irish politicians who praise the 7 signatories and those who followed them into battle are wrong to do so? Should we excoriate those leaders of 1916 and all those who followed them?

The only ones trying to indulge in historical revisionism are those who are trying to claim Early 20th Century Irish Political Violence was good, while Late 20th Century Irish Political Violence was bad. You can't have your cake and eat it.

Sinn Fein approve build to rent schemes in Belfast where they control housing.

S.F. has consistently demonised Landlords for the last few years with their populist rhetoric. Chatter on landlord forums point to the S.F. policies and increased regulation as main reasons. Their proposals for a wealth tax & increasing CGT to 40% will only speed up the exit of landlords.

Why are landlords evicting their tenants and selling their properties and then S.F. plan to ban evictions?

As id the property market is not dysfunctional enough for hard pressed renters etc.

By the way, according to Daft.ie the average monthly rental for a one bedroomed furnished apartment in Cork is
€1047.

Still very high, but by no means the highest in Europe.
