Lots of spare rooms in the Arus in Phoenix Park. Those spare rooms should be taken over by the state & used to house refugees.

The Árus in the Phoenix Park has lots of spare rooms. The state owns the place, so Mr & Mrs Higgins couldn't stop them.

On a more serious note for a so called intellectual she is very ignorant of Irish History--from her letter

n 1916 there was a surrender, no negotiations and the leaders were shot. The civil war ended when the Republicans dumped their arms after being defeated and many of them being executed. there were no negotiations
